My MUFASA theory lays down the foundation needed to hit your target. It would be so unfair to not share this theory with you. MUFASA stands for (Motive, Ultimate gift, Fullest potential, Assets, Strengths, and Action).
What is your motive? What is it that gets you going? You and I both know that there has to be a why you do what you do. Why are you where you are right now? What is it that is motivating you to do what you are doing in your life? Why do you do what you do?
I define motive as the quality of being. Your motive is your character sort of speak. Everyone has a “why” of why they do what they do.
Find what really gets you going because soon or later, you will find out that the world is not always going to give you cream and sugar for your coffee, sometimes you will have to drink it black.
Ultimate gift (MUFASA)
You have what I call, the Ultimate gift. The Ultimate gift is one of the highest gifts a human has and is in control of in their lives. The Ultimate gift is the ability to make choices. A free will to choose or accept what it is you have been given from God. This is one of the reasons we must consider making wise decisions— because this is where we come to discover our purpose or destroy it.
Ultimate gift is freedom. Freedom is a good thing when used wisely. Just like about anything else, freedom can also kill you when it’s abused. To have “Freedom” with capital “F” is to do what is necessary. To do what you ought to do because not only does it help you to become a better version of yourself, it also makes the world a better place.
Fullest potential (MUFASA)
To Climb the Walls of Greatness is to live life to your fullest potential. Whenever people ask me what I do, I usually reply, “I work with people who want to live life to their fullest potential.” It is that simple and easy. What does it really mean to live life to your fullest potential?
Strictly speaking, to live life to your fullest potential means to compete against with what you are capable of becoming. To do whatever possible to put in all of the effort to make the rest of your life the best of your life. You’ve got to be tenacious, determined, and resilient enough to keep seeking, knocking, working, and crafting the best version anyone can expect.
To live life to your fullest potential is to understand that you are not perfect. But you are still valuable and unique despite all of your circumstances and poor decisions that were made in your life. To live life to your fullest potential is to get up when you are down and still own the will, the drive, the heart, and the desire to say, “I am not going to give up pursuing the best version of myself.”
So what if you have made poor decisions in your life. So what if something you have done five years ago is still effecting your life today. So what if your dreams have changed. So what! Even God cannot change the past. What if to keep moving forward is the best thing you can do? What if you forgive yourself and move on?
What if I told you to live life to your fullest potential starts with being aware of your surroundings? Having the awareness of what you currently have and be thankful for them.
To start that prayer even when you are not in church, to go for that run even when you haven’t had enough money to buy those running shoes you want, to wake up and go to work even when you feel like you could sleep forever, to start that business without all the right equipment. You just have to decide. You have enough to get started. You already have the most important asset you will ever need—you!
What are assets? The word “asset” is mostly used in business. I define assets as the resources an individual owns to help him or her to achieve his or her desired goal. Assets are benefits. Assets give us a clearer vision of where we are and helps us prepare the way of where we are going.
For example, your parents, friends, and community can be your assets. This article is an asset (I hope it is for you). If all this article does is waste your time, energy and has no benefit whatsoever, then it is a liability and you should not be reading it.
In business, a liability is a debt. Liabilities are things you owe or things you own that bring you nothing but bills. You have more assets than your liabilities. Don’t bet with me because you’ll lose. If you doubt me, list all of your assets and compare them to your liability list.
To know the resources you have outside of you is good, but to know the resources that lies within you is epic. Strengths are the resources within an individual that are really used to achieve one’s desired results of anything one puts his or her mind to. You can have all the resources in the world but might not get anywhere if you do not use your strengths to accomplish that which you really want.
Strengths are the skeleton of your greatness. Strengths are the masterpieces of a human. Strengths are your talents, skills, and abilities. Everyone has strengths, but not every individual uses them to their fullest potential.
You must tap into your strengths and the more you use them you will become the better version of yourself. Developing this ingenuity will take you far in life. Though, everything you want, and will have, requires action to acquire them.
Both action or inaction are still acts. Most of the time we have the knowledge but lack the action. Everyone can dream but very few can bring it to reality. Everyone is capable of visualizing themselves to a level of defeat, but very few climb that far, why? Because they lack the action.
It is not accidental that action is our final piece of the MUFASA theory. It is also intentional that motive is the very first piece of the theory. The motive comes first and you fulfill it with the action. Remember, do not let anyone take away your legacy because they will steal your destiny.
